Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea had played out a 1-1 draw in their Premier League clash on Saturday at the White Hart Lane leaving both the clubs to settle for a point from this meeting

The draw meant that Tottenham and the hosts finished the day second and third in the table respectively, losing ground on leaders Arsenal, who won against Swansea City, although the Premier League rivals enjoyed a more profitable afternoon than Manchester City and Manchester United, both of who lost their games.

According to the BBC, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas's reunion with his former mentor and new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho ended with honours even as captain John Terry's header gave Chelsea a point despite Tottenham's Gylfi Sigurdsson ensuring a dominant first-half for the club with his opening goal.

Meanwhile, the report mentioned that Chelsea striker Fernando Torres was unluckily sent off with nine minutes left after receiving a second yellow card following an aerial challenge with Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen, even though Torres was given the main attacking role with Samuel Eto'o and Juan Mata on the bench.
