In order to finally sign Welsh wizard Gareth Bale this summer, Chelsea is reportedly set to pay the forward's 75 million pounds release clause to Real Madrid.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with Bale in the last few weeks, amid talks that the Welshman is set to quit Madrid, Metro.co.uk reported.
And now reports have revealed that Jose Mourinho's club is ready to pay Bale's 75 million-pound release clause in order to get the forward signed up, although the Welshman still maintains that he is happy in Madrid and expects to stay.
However, Chelsea are tipped to offer Bale 3,00,000 pounds-a-week wages to get a deal done, which would also make him the club's highest paid player ever and it wouldn't be a problem as the club is receiving a boost to their Financial Fair Play coffers, the report added.
