The mishap in Chennai's amusement park, which left one person dead, was due to the collapse of a newly assembled 'disco giant wheel'.
Police sources told ANI that the newly installed giant wheel was being tested when the incident took place in Kishkinta Amusement Park yesterday claiming the life of one person and injuring nine others.
The Deputy Commissioner has, meanwhile, ordered a probe into the matter.
The injured were admitted to Deepam Hospital in the city's Tambaram area.
Seven of the injured persons are said to be amusement park employees.
