At least four Naxalites were neutralised on Tuesday by the security forces, while one jawan lost his life in the encounter operation near Narayanpur area of Chhattisgarh.
Earlier in November last year, at least five Naxals were killed in a police encounter in the forest at Becha in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district and seized arms from their possession.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Narayanpur police led by Meena and Kondagaon police led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Santosh Singh.
The police seized three rifles of 12 bore, one rifle of 315 bore and articles of daily use from the spot.
So far, bodies of 15 Maoists of their Military formations have been recovered by the Bastar Police in this month as part of the ongoing 'Mission 2016 Bastar'.
