The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) patrol on Tuesday recovered two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Rajnandgaon area of Chhattisgarh.
The ITBP personnel were on an Area Domination Patrol near Jakke Post when they found two IEDs weighing 2 Kgs and 5 Kgs respectively. The security forces later diffused the IEDs on the spot.
The locations of the IEDs have given rise to a suspicion that they could have been planted to target the security forces.
Earlier this month, the Maoists had attacked a mine in Rajnandgaon district, during which top industrialist and owner of Sarda Energy and Minerals, Kamal Sarda, had a narrow escape.
