Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has said China is well aware of the level of corruption in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
"We have no hopes from this government.it is incompetent," Geo News quoted Zardari, as saying.
Taking a jibe at PTI chief Imran Khan, Zardari said he is afraid of going to jail and addresses rallies from his drawing room.
He said that the PPP's efforts in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas has enabled everyone to carry out political activities in the region.
Zardari said his party wants a merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so that it does not become a slave to a governor or the president.
Zardari said he has many projects in mind for the region and promised to make FATA tax-free.
He maintained that the PPP would not forge an alliance with any political party for the upcoming general election.
