American actor, Chris Pratt has decided to rest after more than a year of being "on the road."

In a recent interview, the 37-year-old actor said he is taking some time to be with his family after doing three movies back-to-back, reports People magazine.

"I've been on the road for 14 months-I did three movies back to back to back-so I'm taking six months off," the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star said.

Pratt recently spent the summer with his family that includes 39-year-old wife, Anna Faris, who is also an actress and three-year-old son, Jack.

This time too, the family man tells of his plan to take the family back to the summer's beach.

"I'm taking Jack to Jack's Beach-which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place," he said.

"We're going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that's still there. If not, we're going to build it again," he chimed.

On the work front, Pratt's 'The Magnificent Seven,' directed by

Antoine Fuqua, will hit theatres on September 23.

Along with him, the flick also stars Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke.
