Hollywood director Chirstopher Nolan is jetting to China to support his WWII epic 'Dunkirk'.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker is set to visit Beijing in support of his critically acclaimed WWII drama later this month.
Warner Bros. confirmed the plans for his visit to China on Wednesday.
Nolan will participate in a press conference in the Chinese capital on August 21, followed by the local premiere of Dunkirk on August 22.
It will be the British filmmaker's first trip to Beijing, although past promotional tours for his films have taken him to other parts of China.
Nolan has a solid track record in the Middle Kingdom. 'Interstellar' (2014) earned 122 million USD in China; 'The Dark Knight Rises' pulled in 53 million USD (despite being scheduled by Beijing regulators head-to-head with 'The Amazing Spider-Man'); and 'Inception' (2010) took 68 million USD.
Meanwhile, 'Dunkirk' has earned 156.3 million USD in North America and 210.5 million USD overseas for a worldwide total of 366.8 million USD.
The only international markets remaining for the title are China and Japan, the world's second- and third-largest box-office territories.
The flick opens wide in China on September 1, followed by Japan on September 9.
