The outgoing CEO of Cisco, John Chambers, on Thursday announced an investment of USD 60 million to start its expansion in India.
The Cisco CEO also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said they have made clear their commitment to him about making in India and will "take one step at a time".
The company is planning to directly and indirectly invest upto USD 20 million over the next five years into Cisco Networking Academy to train 120,000 students in digital economy and will also invest an additional amount of USD 40 million for the next phase of expansion in India.
