Comcast is reportedly working on an in-home health tracker to help you identify ailments before it is too late.

According to CNBC, Comcast will begin pilot-testing the device this year, with an expected launch next year. The said device will use ambient sensors to monitor people's basic health metrics such as frequent trips to the bathroom or spending more time than usual in bed.

The company is also building tools for detecting falls, which are common for seniors. Unlike smart speakers, the Comcast device won't be able to control appliances or smart lights, but it will feature a voice-enabled assistant to make emergency phone calls.
