The Congress will decide its Chief Ministerial candidate in Rajasthan after the Assembly election results on December 11, the party's senior leader Sachin Pilot said on Friday.

Pilot, who is seen as a frontrunner for the Chief Ministerial post in Rajasthan, expressed confidence that the Congress would sweep the polls.

"We will sit and discuss this after our party gets a majority in the election," the 41-year-old Congress leader said when asked by reporters here about who would be the Chief Minister in case his party emerges victorious.

He spoke to reporters after casting his vote here.

Rajasthan, where 199 of 200 Assembly seats are at stake, went to polls on Friday. Polling in Alwar constituency has been postponed because of the demise of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate.

"On the day of the results, the Congress party, led by Rahul Gandhi, will form the government (in Rajasthan) and people will feel that it's their own government which has come to power," Pilot said.

He said the BJP government in the state has done very little to uplift the poor and farmers in the society and people are "very disappointed".

Another senior Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Mminister Ashok Gehlot also expressed confidence that his party will win with an absolute majority and form government in the state.

"Certainly, the government will change this time. Congress will form government in Rajasthan with absolute majority. People of the state have the same sentiments," Gehlot, who is also seen as a contender for the post of Chief Minister, told ANI.

According to him, the BJP will win around 50 seats.
