After former Congress Uttar Pradesh chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi joined the saffron party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said the Congress has become a 'drowning boat', and thus, nobody wants to stay with them.
"Considering the situation and craze of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh everybody wants to be a part of our party. The Congress is like a 'drowning boat' and nobody is willing to stay with them," BJP leader Jugal Kishore told ANI.
Kishore said everybody knows that the BJP is going to form a government in Uttar Pradesh so everyone is joining hands with them.
Rita Bahuguna is not the only a person from an opposition party to join BJP. BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya also joined in August. So far the party has inducted 10 MLAs from BSP, three from Congress and one from SP.
