Congress leader Jagdambika Pal on Friday resigned from the membership of the Lok Sabha and said there is no respect for him in the party.
"I used to work for the party with full dedication, but there is no respect for me in the Congress so, I have resigned from the Lok Sabha," Pal told media here.
"Right now, I have just resigned from the Lok Sabha. But my main focus is on the welfare of the people of my constituency. I will go to my constituency and ask people what should be my next step. Let me think over it," he added.
Pal also rejected the rumours that he might be joining the Bharatiya Janata Party and said he has not taken decision regarding this.
