Congress MPs from both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are likely to stage a protest at the Gandhi statue in the Parliament premises on Thursday, against the suspension of the party's 25 lawmakers from the Lok Sabha by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
Meanwhile, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will meet party MPs at 10.15 am in the Parliament to discuss the grand old party's strategy in the forthcoming sessions of the Houses.
Mahajan had earlier this week suspended 25 Congress MPs over disruption of parliamentary proceedings under ruling 374 (A), leading to outrage from various quarters.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament remained at a logjam with the opposition led by the Congress, demanding the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje who have been drawing flak over former IPL chief Lalit Modi controversy.
