After the Election Commission announced dates for elections earlier today, Congress Party leaders from Delhi and Jaipur said that they are confident of winning and reiterated that their good work in the present regime will guide them to victory in the upcoming state assembly polls.

"We have done a lot of work. Delhi, though, has a limit to development and progress. So, we cannot say that we have solved all the problems. But it is always our aim," Congress MLA from Delhi, Kiran Walia said.

Meanwhile, Congress leader from Jaipur remained confident about her party's chances in the upcoming assembly elections, and said that her party has worked with the public of Rajasthan and contributed significantly for food security and medical facilities.

"It's the time for elections; we are completely prepared for it....We have been with the public of Rajasthan continuously and shared the sorrows of people," Archana Sharma said.

"We have monitored the implementation of all programs. I feel very glad to say that we have done a lot in the last five years. We have implemented bills like, Food Security Bill and worked for better medical facilities of people. We have worked hard in this state," Archana Sharma added.

Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said she was confident about her chances in the upcoming elections, and said that her government's hard work will pay off to secure the party's fourth consecutive term in office.

I am ready and confident. Our work speaks for itself. When people look around, they can see the good work I have done in Delhi," Dikshit said, while making especial mention of her contribution to the transportation services under her regime.

Elections in Rajasthan would be held on December 1, while elections in Delhi will be held on December 4.
