Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday took potshots at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for spreading false information among the voters in the poll-bound state and said that he was contesting from the Lambi assembly constituency to ensure Parkash Singh Badal's defeat.
"This is absolutely Kejriwal's misinformation which has been spread. There is no question of dividing any vote. We have come here to beat Badal and we will beat Badal," Singh told media here.
Kejriwal earlier on Tuesday claimed that Captain Amarinder Singh was contesting from Lambi to help SAD patron and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
He alleged that Captain Amarinder wanted to split the "anti-Badal" votes between the AAP and Congress.
The AAP supremo added that Captain Amarinder had backstabbed the people of Punjab by contesting from Badal's electoral stronghold.
Punjab goes to polls on February 4.
