The Corporate sector lauded Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's Budget 2017-18, saying it was drafted very thoughtfully, keeping in mind all the feedback that was given during last year's budget.

The industry veterans supported Jaitley's initiative to boost the agriculture sector, saying that it will contribute significantly towards growth of the Indian economy.

" The Finance Minister has taken the right approach by giving a push to the Agriculture sector, as it is employment generating and beneficial to our country's growth," said Chairman Bajaj Group, Rahul Bajaj.

"Availability of affordable housing is very important, since this was a demand that was raised in the last budget itself," added Bajaj.

Speaking on the startup industry, Sunil Kant Munjal, Joint MD Hero MotoCorp said that the startup industry in India has great potential.

"The startup sector has been given the required incentives to expand growth. This will be very beneficial for the country in the long run," Munjal told ANI.

Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti enterprises also shared similar thoughts. "The Budget is a very balanced one. It has provided the required boost to healthcare, infrastructure and youth."

"This year more funds have been allocated towards railways, which can be used well to improve services in the country," said Tilak Seth, EVP, Siemens.
