The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Wednesday alleged that the leaders of the BJP and those affiliated to RSS and other Sangh Parivar outfits are making provocative statements and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate action against those working against the Constitution and instigating communal violence.

"BJP leaders and those affiliated to RSS and other Sangh Parivar outfits have been speaking everything against the values enshrined in the Constitution. They are making provocative statements, they are instigating communal strife but the Prime Minister is keeping a mysterious silence," CPI leader D. Raja told ANI.

He also questioned Prime Minister Modi's silence over the recent unwarranted statements made by his party leaders.

"Does it mean that he approves all these statements made by his own party men? What action has he taken?" asked Raja.

"Mr. Modi talks about good governance, if he really means good governance then he must take action against those ministers and MPs of his own party who are working against the Constitution, who are instigating communal violence," he said.

The family members of Mohammad Akhlaq, who was beaten to death over rumours of storing beef at his residence in Dadri, have appealed to all politicians to stop politicising the issue and demanded justice.
