Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Sitaram Yechury on Sunday said that the party will be raising all the important issues in the upcoming Budget Session of the Parliament.
"We will be raising all the important issues. Inflation, issues regarding the situation of women, Tapas Pal and increasing communal tensions around the country. We will be carrying out our role as Opposition," said Yechury.
On the issue of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Yechury said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee made the current law which enables the second largest party in the Lok Sabha to claim Leader of Opposition post and it should be duly followed.
On coordinating with government in running the house, Yechury said, "We want the Parliament to run. It depends on the government what they want. They are answerable on all these issues.
