Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP K. Kavitha Rao on Sunday said that crime against women will decrease if they report about it.

"I think if women come out and report about the crimes, they can get justice and we hope the crime will definitely go down," she said while talking about the documentary 'India's Daughter' based on the gang-rape of a young woman in Delhi.

Meanwhile, the TDP leader also talked about the initiatives taken by the Telangana Government for benefits of women.

"We have also started pension programmes for workers in Telangana including 'Pension programme for the bidi workers' which is more like a stipend, 'Water Grid Programme' to give safe water to make life easier for women. It's a universal problem," Rao told ANI here.

"We have also started a 'She Team' and this team works very well. In Telangana, our motive is to give strength to women," she added while commenting on the initiatives taken by her government for women.
