Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed the extension of Haroon Lorgat's contract as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by three years, until July 31, 2019.
Announcing his extension at the conclusion of Friday's board meeting here, CSA President Chris Nenzani said that Lorgat has more than delivered on their expectations and even though his first term will end in twelve months time, the board had no hesitation to confirm the services of Lorgat for a second three-year term, Sport24 reported.
He further said that Lorgat took over at a time of great uncertainty and under very difficult circumstances, but his experience and astute leadership has stabilized South Africa's cricket.
Lorgat, the former ICC CEO, was appointed CSA's chief executive in July 2013 for a period of three years.
