DAC clears purchase of Russian Air Defence Missile systems
The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared the purchase of an estimated Rs. 40,000 crore worth Russian S-400 air defence missile systems.
It also gave the go-ahead to other projects worth more than Rs. 25,000 crore.
The DAC, chaired by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has decided to buy five units of the S-400 Triumf air defence missile systems.
