Charlize Theron has optioned the Susannah Cahalan book Brain On Fire
The memoir follows the story of a young woman's terrifying fall into madness, in which the 20-year-old star will be portraying Cahalan.
Theron will be producing the film with her Denver and Delilah partners Beth Kono and AJ Dix who recently finished shooting for 'Dark Places', an adaptation of the novel by author Gillian Flynn.
Fanning will soon be seen in Cinedigm's 'Night Moves'.
