The deadly heat wave in Karachi and some parts of Sindh in the last two days is expected to continue till Monday, according to the Met office.

According to The Dawn, 12 cases of heatstroke were brought to hospitals across the city as Karachi reeled under a 43 degree Celsius temperature.

The heat wave had claimed 1,200 lives in June.

A timely warning by the Met office this time helped prevent casualties from reaching alarming proportions.
