A deliveryman in Hubei region helped his customer get his parcel by burying it in the ground, near the recipient's house, so that she could retrieve it later.
He had failed to catch her at home after making several trips to her place.
According to Chutian Metropolis Daily, on July 14, a delivery worker, with the last name Yang, tried for the sixth time to deliver a necklace order to Guo Wenyu, who works as an intern at a hospital in Hanchuan, her home city, China Daily reported.
After Yang, 19, found Wenyu away from her house for the fifth time, he contacted her at around 6 pm.
Wenyu felt apologetic for Yang's unproductive attempts and asked him to drop the package at her door.
Yang refused Wenyu's offer, as he believed that the necklace would be unsafe and then he came up with his own idea: to dig a hole in the flowerbed by the door and place the parcel inside the hole.
Wenyu approved and unearthed her jewellery when she arrived home an hour later.
