Designer Brandon Maxwell opens up about Lady Gaga's Met Gala transition

American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga caught everyone's attention with her dramatic costume changes on the pink carpet of Met Gala with the help of her designer and friend Brandon Maxwell.

According to Fox News, since Maxwell has been on Lady Gaga's squad for years, there wasn't anything new for him, but he admits being little nervous about the dramatic costume changes.

Describing his experience, Maxwell said, "I, of course, was super nervous leading up but then I had to tell myself, you know, I have changed her under the stage in live performances many, many times and this is what we do.

"Every time I looked over and saw her, I felt calm because I knew that we had each other. And we have always had each other," he added.

He also believes that Lady Gaga has been a great influence in his life, a "stable friend that has been there to catch me whenever I felt like I am falling, and that goes for many of the other best girlfriends in my life."

In addition to Lady Gaga, he had dressed Meghan Markle, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Julia Roberts.
