Sean "Diddy" Combs, who tweeted on Wednesday that he was joining the PBS hit period drama 'Downton Abbey', has revealed that his prank was to promote a new FunnyOrDie.com skit, which he unveiled to fans early on Thursday.
The 43-year-old rapper's earlier tweet said: "MY BIG NEWS: So happy to announce that Im a series regular on DOWNTON ABBEY-my favorite show+i'll be debuting a sneak peek tonight 12am PST!"
But, PBS spokeswoman Carrie Johnson said that the music mogul will not be appearing in British period TV drama, Contactmusic reported.
Diggy now declares: "Last week it was reported that they have cast the first black cast member... (Gary Carr) - the only problem with this is I already broke down that barrier. I'm the first black cast member... and I got the scenes to prove it."
The rapper then introduced a series of clips from the TV drama where he appeared in a 1920's suit.
