Disgraced Toronto City Council mayor Rob Ford might be stripped off 'some of his powers' amid a series of allegations related to illegal drugs, drunken driving, and the latest oral sex comment.
Ford's authority to appoint and dismiss the deputy mayor and his executive committee might get affected after the city council voted to strip his powers, the BBC reports.
The city councilors will also consider delegating all powers and duties, which are not assigned to him by law, to the deputy mayor.
Ford has already made serious admissions, like using crack cocaine, buying illegal drugs, and drunken driving and use of lewd language on television in past few days.
The City Council has no authority to remove him, unless he is convicted of a crime.
