'Downton Abbey' may be forced to kill of Lord Grantham's pet Isis because of the rise of the Islamic State, it has been reported.

Isis is one of the acronyms used to describe the Islamic State and the show might have to remove the yellow Labrador to avoid any association with the brutal terror group, the Daily Star reported.

The latest episode hints at an imminent death for the dog. Isis was the name of an Egyptian goddess and the Crawleys' pet was introduced into the series after replacing the previous pet Pharaoh.
