Eddie Murphy has been reportedly in talks to join the upcoming untitled Richard Pryor biopic.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 53-year old actor has considered playing the role of Pryor's father LeRoy, who was a boxer and WWII veteran, and had an abusive relationship with his son, Contact music.com reported.
The untitled biopic would be directed by the Oscar winning director Lee Daniels and also produced by Pryor's widow Jennifer Lee Pryor, producer Bruce Cohen and Kate Hudson who might also join in as Jennifer, the late comedian's wife whom he married twice.
Daniels took to Instagram teasing Murphy by posting their picture together with the caption that he was excited and proud of the actor.
The 'Next Friday' actor Mike Epps would play the role of the late comedian.
