E.I.S. Electronics, an Indo German joint venture set up in Kanpur, India, to manufacture harnesses for aerospace and defence applications will be exhibiting at ADMS, Bangalore on 24-25 July. Jointly promoted by MKU, India and E.I.S. Electronics GmbH, this Indo German Joint Venture, makes electrical wiring harnesses for Airbus aircrafts at its modern, state of the art production facility in Kanpur.
E.I.S. Electronics GmbH has been supplying Electrical Cable harnesses to Aerospace and Defence Industry for over three decades. The company makes harnesses for Airbus aircrafts, Ariane launchers, satellites, ground stations, submarine and other defence applications. It is certified according to EN9100, EASA 21G, EASA 145 and AQAP 2120.
Since April 2013, E.I.S. India has madeover 23 types of harnesses for Airbus 320 and 380. They are now manufacturing for Airbus 350, the latest wide bodied aircraft from Airbus.The facility is AS 9100 certified.
This unit was set up in India to not only provide world class manufacturing facility for harnesses for aerospace and defence applications in India for global OEMs, but also to meet the requirements of Indian aerospace industry and support the indigenization programme of the Indian defence forces. The company is proud to be associated with the IAF and support them in the upgrade of the Russian AN32 aircrafts in India. It is registered with HAL and the BRDs of the IAF. Besides aerospace applications it is also taking up the development of harnesses for other applications like radars, artillery and other defence and communication equipment.
At the exhibition they will be displaying their capabilities including harnesses made in India for Airbus 320 and 380.
E.I.S. Electronics (India) is an example of the efforts of its Indian promoter MKU to 'Make in India' and bring in the latest technology and manufacturing best practices to develop indigenous capability to make world class products in India.
MKU, is a leading manufacturer of armour solutions for platforms (land, air and naval) and personnel with a global presence spanning over 100 countries. Aircrafts armoured by MKU have seen active service in Afghanistan and Latin America. They have recently introduced Modular ShutzTechnik (MOST) a modular light weight armour technology for providing ballistic protection to platforms especially aircrafts which will be displayed at ADMS, Bangalore.
