The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has said that the decision on fingerprint verification in connection with charges of rigging would be made by the election tribunal.

ECP Secretary Ishtiaque Ahmed said that NADRA would conduct fingerprint verification when the need arose, adding that the record was accumulated for this reason, reports The News.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had called for recounting of votes coupled with fingerprint verification by NADRA in four constituencies. He, however, did not identify the constituencies.
