Engineering students from Laos visited Futtsu plant in Chiba Prefecture of Japan. The tour was conducted by Ebara Corporation.

The participating students were fascinated to view rarely visible aspects of manufacturing large-sized pumps and to see a cutaway sample of the pump that demonstrated the pump structure and eagerly listened to explanations.

The participants are competent engineering students who aspire to play an active role in Laos in the future.

The plant tour is arranged as per the request received by Kyonan-machi which is located at South to the city of Futtsu. They visited Japan under the JENESYS 2.0 program.

The local government extended a warm welcome to JENESYS 2.0 visitor's interest in learning about unique Japanese manufacturing, Japanese companies and products that is acclaimed across the globe.

The Ebara group is in existence for more than 50 years after setting up its first base in South-East Asia. It offers pumps and many other products and services to contribute to the social and industrial development in Southeast- Asia and in other parts of the world.

JENESYS 2.0 is a youth exchange program between Asia-Oceania countries and Japan for around 30,000 people, the basic plan for which was formulated by the Japanese government, and operated by Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE).
