England cricketer Eoin Morgan has insisted that his team can bounce back from their 5-0 Ashes thrashing by Australia and come out as winners in the ODI series against the hosts, beginning in Melbourne on Sunday.
England is relying on a familiar Ashes trend to fire them to one-day glory and banish the memories of the past two months
According to the Mirror, the Irish player said that it is possible for England to win the ODI series against Australia as in 2006-07, they won the one-day series despite losing 5-0 in Ashes.
However, Morgan admitted that he has not felt the impact of the Ashes loss as the players who are in the squad, adding that he is not sure how much winning this series would compensate for this latest Ashes whitewash.
Morgan further said that beating Australia trumps a victory against any other team in the world as the prize is very high.
