Eric Bana has joined the cast of Disney's upcoming film 'The Finest Hours,' and is set to star with Chris Pine and Casey Affleck.
The project, which is an adaptation of the best-selling book by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias, would be helmed by Craig Gillespie and will show the huge rescue mission that was carried out after a pair of oil tankers split in two off the coast of Cape Cod in 1952, Deadline.com reported.
Bana, 46, would play the role of Daniel Cluff, the deeply respected Coast Guard warrant officer and point supervisor to Bernie, played by Pine. Cluff gave the orders to Bernie to go ahead with the dangerous rescue mission despite his wife's wishes.
