Ahead of the opening of the 2015 European Games in Azerbaijan, three
15-year-old Austrian synchronised swimmers have been injured after a collision with a bus.
The BBC reported that the trio were walking in the athletes' village in Baku when the accident occurred, quoting the Austrian Olympic Committee (AOC) as saying that one of the swimmers, Vanessa Sahinovic, was 'severely injured' and would be flown to Vienna for further treatment.
Another swimmer, Luna Pajer will also be flown back to the Austria, with the third, Verena Breit, suffering light injuries.
The European Games is a multi-sport event which is scheduled to begin on June 12 and ends on June 28.
