English football club Everton has signed Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku in a record breaking 28 million pound deal.
The club is aiming to challenge its city rival Liverpool with this transfer.
Lukaku is a statement of intent in every sense. He is a Premier League goal-scorer and at an age where he is supposed to get even better and give manager Roberto Martinez exactly the player he wanted.
Lukaku was on loan at Everton last season where he was their leading scorer with 16 goals in 33 appearances. The Belgian has already scored 65 league goals by the age of 21, a figure matched only by Sergio Aguero.
At a similar age, Wayne Rooney had 44, Lionel Messi 42, Luis Suarez 28 and Cristian Ronaldo 15 goals, the report added.
