American actor Lee Thompson Young, best known for playing the titular character in Disney Channel series 'The Famous Jett Jackson,' was found dead inside his Los Angeles home early Monday morning by police. He was 29.
According to Entertainment Tonight, police have confirmed Young's death.
A dispatch had been sent to Young's house on a welfare check after he did not make an appearance for work on the set of 'Rizzoli and Isles.'
Young has been playing Det. Barry Frost on the TNT's buddy-cop series since 2010.
Authorities discovered his body after entering his house; he was pronounced dead on the scene, CBS reported.
It is believed that Young died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
