Former WWE wrestler CM Punk will be making a debut as comic writer for Marvel's 'Thor'.
Marvel Comics, who wants to bring Thor, God of Thunder, to life in new ways in 2015, has turned to a series of first-time Marvel creators to write original Thor stories, which will be released as "Thor Annual #1", CNET reported.
Phil Brooks, better known as retired WWE wrestler CM Punk, is the first guest creator in the series, and opened up on Marvel.com about his comic's cred and where he plans to take his Thor story.
Brooks added that he's been reading comic books his whole life and his time as a wrestler "wearing tights in front of thousands of people and play acting" has helped him to understand what it's like to play someone else, which should let him put himself in Thor's shoes.
