Facebook has reportedly launched its own version of trending topics for Android and promises to launch the same for iOS soon.

According to Tech Crunch, each trend is divided into five sections: News articles, a "Live Feed" of real-time chatter, posts by people "In The Story", posts from people "Near The Scene", and post from friends and Groups you're in.

The social networking site says that with so much content available on Web, the newly introduced features will make it easier for users to explore stories from various sources.

Trending Topics product manager Andrew Song said that Facebook learned that there's a lot of good content shared publicly but it's really hard to find on the page and so it decided to split the Trending Topic page into five abovementioned sections.
