New South Wales pace bowler Sean Abott has received support from the fast bowlers' community, in view of his bouncer delivery that hit Australian batsman Phillip Hughes, who succumbed to head injuries on Thrusday at St Vincent hospital.

The 25-year-old South Australian batsman, who was pushing for a Test recall against India in Brisbane next week, was knocked out after the ball made impact under his helmet, behind his left ear.

Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland said that it tells a lot about Sean as he was among the first ones to rush to Hughes' aid at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He further said that Abott would receive all the support he needs around him, Sport24 reported.

On the other hand, former Australia fast bowler Stuart Clark said that fast bowlers have to intimidate the batsman as it has been a part of the game for a long period. He further said that they want Abott to have the best possible career he could.

Expressing grief, England fast bowler Stuart Broad said that Abott had done nothing wrong as it is a part of bowlers' strategy.
