Australia has regained control of the fourth Ashes Test at the MCG on the third day after dismissing England for 179 all out.
The hosts now require 201 runs to win the fourth Ashes Test, with ten wickets remaining, and take a 4-0 lead in the winter series and are the current favourites to win the series.
Australian spinner Nathan Lyon was the hero of the day, finishing with figures of 5 for 50 off 17 overs which included the vital wickets of Ian Bell, Ben Stokes and Kevin Pietersen in quick succession.
