Seems like 'Kapoor and Sons' has affected Fawad Khan's next Bollywood venture Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hae Mushkil,' wherein he will now have an extended role, not just a cameo.
According to a production source, Fawad's character now in the KJo's rom-com will be almost as much as Salman Khan's role in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,' reports the Dawn.
So, the 'Khoobsurat' actor will be seen in a supporting role, not a cameo, even in the film credits.
Earlier, the 34-year-old actor was to make an extended guest appearance in 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' as a DJ.
The source also dished on other reasons for Fawad's 'promotion' and said that the actor and Karan are extremely close friends now and besides, he is a big draw "across the border and in the Middle East," which, as a result, will make ADHM "reach a bigger audience."
The film, slated to be released this October, has Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor in its lead.
