Federer announces 2014 playing schedule on official Facebook page
Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has reportedly announced his playing schedule for the 2014 season on his official Facebook page.
The 17-time Major champion announced that he is due to play 16 events (excluding the World Tour Finals), starting in Brisbane International this week and then the Australian Open from Jan 13-26.
According to Sport24, Federer, who had an indifferent 2013 as he won only one title and failed to reach a major final for the first year since 2002, will also start the year with a new coach after six-time major winner Stefan Edberg joined his team.
Federer's new schedule (subject to change) is as follows: Dubai (24 Feb - 02 Mar), Indian Wells (03 - 16 Mar), Miami (17 - 30 Mar), Madrid (05 - 11 May), Rome (12 - 18 May), Roland Garros (26 May - 08 Jun), Halle (09 Jun - 15 Jun), Wimbledon (23 Jun - 06 Jul), Toronto (04 - 10 Aug), Cincinnati (11 - 17 Aug), US Open (25 Aug - 07 Sep).
The remaining are: Shanghai (6 - 12 Oct), Basel (18 - 26 Oct) and Paris (27 Oct - 02 Nov).
