Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been charged for allegedly assaulting woman in hotel during the team's visit here in September for cricket training.
Confirming the news, DCP Sandeep Patil revealed that an FIR has been filed against Mishra following a complaint by woman for physically assaulting her in a hotel room.
"The complaint filed by the woman alleges that she knows Amit Mishra from the past three years and when the Indian team was here for the cricket training in the month of September and that time Amit Mishra was staying in one of the hotel in Bangalore. One day when this complainant went to the room. At that time Mishra also came there and they had a heated argument and ultimately she alleges that he physically assaulted her," Patil affirmed.
