Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday advocated that foreign policy matters should be dictated while taking care of country's interest.

"Hopefully foreign policy, water sharing agreements and things like these can be dictated by what is in the national interest now onwards," Omar tweeted.

He also took a dig at regional parties Trinamool Congress (TMC) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), both of whom performed remarkably well in the Lok Sabha elections.

"It must feel so strange for regional leaders with 30 plus MPs to have no say in Delhi. Earlier they would sneeze and the Center would catch a cold," he tweeted.
