Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar will arrive in Kathmandu on Thursday an official visit.
Jaishankar is scheduled to meet President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, senior government officials and leaders of major political parties during his visit.
India and Nepal share a unique relationship of friendship and cooperation characterized by open borders and deep-rooted people-to-people contacts of kinship and culture.
In keeping with the tradition of regular high level exchange of visits between India and Nepal, Nepalese Prime Minister Shri Sushil Koirala, accompanied by a high- level delegation, attended the swearing-in ceremony of PM Narendra Modi as the new Prime Minister of India, on May 26, 2014.
