Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, is scheduled to arrive here on a five-day official visit to India today at the invitation of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
The senior CPN-UML leader, who will be accompanied by UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and his former Foreign Affairs Adviser Rajan Bhattarai, is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Indian politicians during his visit.
He is scheduled to meet Dr. Manmohan Singh tomorrow and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Friday.
External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid will call on the visiting dignitary and host a luncheon meeting in his honour.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also host a luncheon meeting in Patna for the former Prime Minister of Nepal.
The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to address a special programme at Nalanda University.
