Former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) legislator Mohammad Sohrab, who is an accused in the Kolkata IAF officer hit-and-run case, surrendered before a court here on Tuesday.
He was later granted bail on a surety bond of Rs. 1500.
Sambia was arrested on January 16 by the Kolkata Police while he was heading towards his in-laws' house.
He was behind the wheels of the Audi car, which allegedly mowed down IAF officer Corporal Abhimanyu Gaud during a rehearsal of Republic Day parade here on January 13.
