'Furious 7' cinematographer Stephen Windon is all set to wear director's cap with 'Full Throttle'.
The movie, written by Todd Slawsby is about a motorcycle racer who works as a courier in Kuala Lumpur after suffering a career-ending crash during a race in Singapore, Deadline.com reported.
Windon, who is an Emmy-nominated cinematographer, said in a statement that the timing for his transition into the directing seat has been made possible with the confluence of the right material and a great producing team and the strong character-driven story loaded with adrenaline fueled action is a perfect project for him to direct.
DragonSlate's Leon Tan will serve as producer, while Sukee Chew, Andrew Ooi, Harriet Spalding and Robert Lundberg will executive produce the project.
